Senators red-hot goaltender Linus Ullmark suffered an injury during yesterday's game against the Oilers, and Travis Green provided a post-game update on it.

Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark left the game before the second period with a back injury and didn't return. The 31-year-old netminder has been one of the NHL's hottest goalies and was just named one of the league's "Three Stars" for the week of Dec. 9 to Dec. 16.

Riding a personal seven-game winning streak, there didn't seem to be anything that could cool off Ottawa Senators goalie Linus Ullmark. Almost on cue, the injury bug slithered into Rogers Place in Edmonton on Sunday night and basically said,

As per the Ottawa Senators, “Linus Ullmark sustained an upper-body injury during tonight’s game against the Edmonton Oilers. He will not return to action this evening.” The update does not give any indication as to the severity of Ullmak’s injury,

This may be a huge loss for the Ottawa Senators if it proves to be anything even remotely serious. The Senators have officially announced that star goaltender Linus Ullmark will not return to tonight’s game against the Edmonton Oilers after he suffered an upper-body injury during the course of the game.
