San Francisco 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan sent a clear message to Jaguars HC Liam Coen after he got into it with 49ers DC Robert Saleh.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Monday that quarterback Brock Purdy’s toe issue that kept him out of sidelined for Weeks 2 and 3 flared up.

Brock Purdy returned to action in Week 4 in the 49ers' matchup vs. the Jaguars after missing the previous two weeks with a left shoulder injury and toe injury he suffered during Week 1. However, it sounds like playing on Sunday may have re-aggravated his toe injury.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan apparently didn’t get the memo about keeping Coen’s name out of his mouth. In Shanahan’s post-game press conference, he said of Coen, “I don’t think he should be that sensitive about it, but it is what it is. Not too worried about it.”

As the 49ers dealt with an injury-riddled passing game, the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday were able to successfully focus on - and stop - San Francisco's ground attack.
