Shares of grocery-delivery app Instacart slid Monday after rival DoorDash Inc. and supermarket giant Kroger Co. said they were expanding an existing partnership to deliver a lot more groceries to consumers’ homes starting next month.

The e-commerce company will offer delivery of fresh foods, household goods and other products from almost 2,700 of the grocer’s locations.

Kroger shoppers will have more choices for delivery, as the grocery store chain and its sister brands make all of their goods available on DoorDash. Starting Oct. 1, all of The Kroger Co. offerings will be available via DoorDash Marketplace, the companies announced Sept. 29.
