After a week of headlines and a sudden disappearance from TV, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is back on the air. The late-night show returned Sept. 23, just days after Disney-owned ABC announced it was pulling the plug over Jimmy Kimmel 's comments surrounding the death of Charlie Kirk.
Fans of late night television were in for a shock when Jimmy Kimmel appeared on Stephen Colbert's show, and vice versa.
Nexstar released a statement on Friday, announcing the return of Kimmel's shows to its airwaves and saying the company "remains committed to protecting the First Amendment while producing and airing local and national news that is fact-based and unbiased and, above all, broadcasting content that is in the best interest of the communities we serve."
During Jimmy Kimmel's first 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Brooklyn show, he was joined by guests Ryan Reynolds, Josh Johnson and Public Enemy.
