The Israeli military on Thursday said it struck Hezbollah rocket launchers in south Lebanon despite a fragile ceasefire with the militant group. The truce, which took effect on November 27, has been marked by mutual accusations of violations from both sides.

At least 13 people died in strikes across the Gaza Strip in the early hours of 2025, local health and civil defense officials said.

On New Year’s day, an Israeli attack killed at least 26 Palestinians and on the next day, multiple airstrikes by Israeli forces killed 50 people across Gaza.
