The Detroit Tigers went into the offseason hopeful to take some steps towards becoming a legitimate World Series contenders following back-to-back playoffs.

DETROIT -- Injured Detroit Tigers infielder Zach McKinstry has been dispatched to Florida and is doing “light baseball activity” as he works his way back from an injury suffered last week. McKinstry was placed on the 10-day injured list with left hip/abdominal inflammation on April 17. Hao-Yu Lee took his spot on the roster.
