Corey Seager has been activated from the injured list after the Texas Rangers lost eight of the 10 games he missed because of a right hamstring strain.

The Texas Rangers officially activated Seager from the 10-day injured list ahead of Saturday’s meeting with the Seattle Mariners. Seager, who strained his hamstring on April 22, will line up at designated hitter and will bat third in the Rangers’ lineup.

The Texas Rangers activated star shortstop Corey Seager from the 10-day injured list Saturday afternoon. In a corresponding move, infielder Jonathan Ornelas was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock. Seager suffered a right hamstring strain on April 22 against the Athletics.
