Six Flags America in Bowie, Maryland, is closing this year after its owner determined it was "not a strategic fit with the company’s long-term growth plan."

Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor in Bowie, Maryland, will welcome thrill seekers for the last time this year after the operator announced plans to close the amusement parks after the 2025 season.

Six Flags, the largest amusement park operator in North America, says it will close its Prince George’s County park at the end of the 2025 season. The company says all 2025 season passes and tickets will be honored. Their final operating day will be Sunday, Nov. 2.
