After leaving Auburn’s win over Georgia State after two minutes due to a shoulder injury, star big man Johni Broome made his presence known this afternoon. The 6-foot-10 forward led all scorers and rebounders with 23 and 11 respectively, shot 10-15 from the field and added two assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes of action.

What shoulder injury? After exiting Auburn's win over Georgia State on Tuesday, Johni Broome was in the starting lineup for the Tigers game vs. No. 17 Purdue, where he delivered one of his best performances in his three-year Auburn career.

Broome and the second-ranked Tigers both turned in dominant performances in an 87-69 win over No. 16 Purdue on Saturday. The preseason All-America’s 3 just 78 seconds in quieted his own concerns about an injury that had sidelined him two minutes into the game against Georgia State four days earlier.
