Freeze is coming into his third year at Auburn with a heavy load on him. His team didn’t make a bowl game again last year, and he is currently at the bottom in the SEC in recruiting.

On the other hand, Alabama has the No. 6 recruiting class nationally per 247Sports’ composite rankings. The Crimson Tide is the only program with three composite five-star commitments in the 2026 class: Morgan, Georgia linebacker Xavier Griffin and Georgia cornerback Jorden Edmonds .
Instead, Auburn and Alabama each handled business in convincing fashion. The Tigers raced out to a 15-0 lead over the Commodores and then finished strong for a 78-62 win.
