A wind advisory and a fire weather watch were issued Monday for parts of the Chicago area, the National Weather Service said, with dry air and gusty winds of up to 50 miles-per-hour possible at times.

Southeast Michigan will be under a Wind Advisory for much of the day, with gusts as strong as 45 mph possible this afternoon.

CHICAGO - The Chicago area will begin the week with mild temperatures, but strong winds are also expected. Clear skies tonight will bring chilly temps, with lows dipping into the upper teens. Expect a sunny start to Monday, but clouds will roll in by the afternoon. It will be VERY WINDY, with highs reaching around 44°F.
