As a longtime member of the Junior League of Spartanburg, Michalowski has spent five years helping organize the League’s annual Santa’s Shoppe fundraiser. The creativity and community spirit of that work ultimately inspired her to apply to be a White House decorator this year.

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A Jonesboro florist will spend Thanksgiving week decorating the White House for Christmas after being selected from thousands of applicants nationwide. Zach Jones, owner of the Bearded Bouquet, applied for the opportunity in August.

It seems that Melania Trump has yet to warm up to the holiday spirit. The first lady, 55, spent two minutes and 50 seconds welcoming the arrival of the White House Christmas tree, hightailing it back inside the presidential residence after just a few handshakes and photo ops.
