The University of Texas at Austin has stood out as one of the best educational institutions in the country for 2026, according to a new batch of rankings from U. S.

University of Texas-Austin is ranked No. 30 in National Universities and No. 7 in Top Public Schools. Texas A&M University in College Station: Ranked No. 51 in National Universities and No. 21 in Top Public Schools. Baylor University in Waco: Ranked No. 88 in National Universities and No. 27 in Best Undergraduate Teaching.

The change, which is set to take effect on Jan. 1, will impact transgender students who use the university’s clinic for accessible and affordable care.

The Texas Office of Attorney General filed its response on Sept. 18 to a First Amendment lawsuit brought by UT Austin and UT Dallas students against leaders at the University of Texas System, saying that the students' case should be dismissed by the U.
