Valve has a solution for you. A big new update to SteamOS, the operating system powering handheld Steam Deck gaming devices around the world, dropped this week, and it brought with it the ability to install the specialized OS on competing devices.

Valve's SteamOS is here for the Lenovo Legion Go S, including non-Steam Deck devices, and it could be the start of something great for handheld gaming PCs.

The new battery saver option is called Battery Charge Limit, and can be found under the Power submenu in Settings. The feature allows users to set a maximum charge limit for their Steam Deck, with a maximum of 80% charge recommended for devices that are usually left on charge, or that rarely have their battery fully depleted.
