Leonid meteors are visible in the night sky from early November to early December. This weekend, the ongoing meteor shower reaches its maximum intensity, with a peak Sunday night into early Monday.

The Southern Taurids will be visible near the Taurus constellation, which rises in the eastern sky soon after dark. It will be high in the sky around midnight; look for Mars and Jupiter, both nearby, as you await the bright sky streaks. The Leonid meteor shower, which became active Nov. 3, will reach its peak Saturday night into the early morning hours of Sunday.
