Despite being the face of a Hollywood film franchise and the star of a three decade old video game franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog is still homeless. As reported by Automaton, fans grew concerned recently after discovering what appeared to be a major change to an incredibly random piece of Sonic the Hedgehog lore.

There's an almost sinister undertone in that last line, "Will work on making sure this doesn't happen again!" Maybe Sonic is trying to save up for a home, but any time he collects enough rings they give him a little punch so he drops them all and has to start from scratch again.

While Shadow's introduction to the Sonic franchise is a bit dark, his next few chapters might undo any hopes of an on-screen spinoff.
