After the detective drama's official social media page shared a snap of the main cast for series 14, fans questioned the whereabouts of Danny John-Jules, who plays Dwayne Myers.

Gilet will take on the role of DI Mervin Wilson in the popular series. In the first trailer for series 14, the actor can be seen investigating a murder as the new detective inspector of Saint Marie. Mervin, who previously discovered his estranged mother had died, says in the trailer that he does not think her death was “an accident”.
