For 23 years, a two-story mural in Northwest D.C. depicting the yellow-brick road, the Emerald City and the cast from “The Wizard of Oz” overlooked the basketball court in Stead Park.

The Sioux City Police Department saw an uptick in graffiti reports in the last month. A stop sign, the Perry Creek walking trail and a handful of buildings were among the property that was vandalized.
