The facility and its sister site in Evercreech, near Shepton Mallet, process more than 70,000 tonnes of recycling in an average year - the equivalent weight of around 5,000 double decker buses.
Hot and cold beverage cups (coffee cups), deodorant and toothpaste tubes, ice cream tubs, black plastic containers and frozen juice containers will be accepted in Ontario blue boxes by Jan. 1, 2026.
