The bookstore chain plans to open four locations in the first half of 2026, including in Hyde Park, Skokie and Oak Park.

Four Barnes and Nobles are opening this year. The largest location will be the one on State and Randolph streets in the Loop.

One of the new locations will be at 150 N. State Street, which is the former Old Navy store that closed back in 2023.
