Friday night’s WWE SmackDown episode averaged 1.741 million viewers on USA Network, up 0.6 percent from the previous week.
Recent news of WWE talent releases has had many on edge. The likes of Sonya Deville, Carmella, Blair Davenport, and Authors of Pain are no longer under WWE contract. Some feared that a former "Friday Night SmackDown" champion would be the latest WWE superstar departure.
Programming Insider reports that Friday's WWE SmackDown drew 1.741 million viewers on USA Network. This number is up from the 1.731 million viewers the show drew on February 28. Friday's episode scored a 0.52 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, the same rating that the show scored last Friday.
WWE Smackdown is headed overseas, and will tape earlier in the day than usual.
