Aaron Rodgers. Steelers or Giants? Two weeks ago, Rodgers reached out to the Giants. It was an indication that he didn’t have many options. With Justin Fields taking a two-year deal with the Jets, Rodgers now has an open spot in Pittsburgh.

A couple of interesting quarterback prospects are set to hit the open market, including Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Justin Fields and Sam Darnold. Before free agency commences, NFL reporter Jordan Raanan revealed that the New York Giants are "likely" to sign Rodgers or Wilson.

On Monday, the Jets signed Justin Fields to a two-year, $40 million deal with a clear path to a starting role and all that comes with it. Among a cast of castaway veterans, Fields offered New York a unique combination of youth, upside, and competence. It’s unknown, perhaps unlikely, that it truly works out, but few are complaining with the signing.

A proper dual-threat quarterback, Fields now re-joins his former Ohio State teammate, Garrett Wilson, in the NFL ranks as the Jets are beginning to move on well from the Aaron Rodgers debacle.
