A pair of college football playoff games will be played, starting at noon ET (SMU-Penn State) and 4:00 p.m. ET (Clemson-Texas). A pair of NFL games also will be played, starting at 1:00 p.m. ET (Texans-Chiefs) and 4:30 p.m. ET (Steelers-Ravens).

Beginning this weekend and through the next few weeks, 12 of this season's best college football teams will be competing for the National Championship. Those important games will offer fans a glimpse at some NFL stars of tomorrow.

The NFL is giving fans a rare treat this weekend with games on Saturday for the first time in the 2024 season. For the next three Saturdays, the NFL will host at least two games (Week 17 has a tripleheader) -- the first time the league has played on three consecutive Saturdays in consecutive years since 2005 and 2006 (the league played on three straight Saturdays last year).
