ESPN’s Jeff Darlington doesn’t think Anthony Weaver is going anywhere, even if a team makes an offer for him to become a head coach.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints announced that they completed their second interview with Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, who met with the Saints on Friday after a virtual interview the previous week.

For starters, Weaver is a former player. His time with the Ravens and Texans saw him play for Brian Billick and Gary Kubiak. He has coached in the NFL since 2012, working under Rex Ryan and the Jets to start as an assistant defensive line coach. He also played under Ryan when he was with the Ravens. Now, Ryan is of the John Harbaugh tree.

To bring clarity, that was nearly two decades ago when the franchise hired a confident and youthful Sean Payton. Indeed, he did not refer to Dennis Allen, although he stated, "I don't regret" his hiring.

So far, besides the Patriots and Vrabel, Lions coordinators Ben Johnson (Bears) and Aaron Glenn (Jets) have been scooped up, while Bucs OC Liam Coen is heading to Jacksonville, Pete Carroll is reportedly returning to the sidelines with the Raiders and Brian Schottenheimer has been hired by the Cowboys.

As the New Orleans Saints head into the offseason looking to bolster their roster, the team is also looking for their next head coach with one in mind being Mike McCarthy, who was at the helm for the Dallas Cowboys last season.
