The Boston Bruins have recalled forward Vinni Lettieri from the Providence Bruins, it was announced Monday. Lettieri, who was acquired by the Bruins in June from the Minnesota Wild, has spent the whole season with Providence thus far. Through 35 games, he has scored 14 goals and added 21 assists for 35 points.

Lettieri scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Saturday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Senators. Lettieri was able to bend the twine in his second NHL appearance of the season. The 29-year-old has slotted into a middle-six role for the Bruins and will likely stay in the lineup while Cole Koepke (upper body) is on injured reserve.

ST. PAUL - The Boston Bruins recalled the former Minnesota Wild forward Vinni Lettieri from their AHL affiliated the Providence Bruins. Lettieri, 29, has had a great start to the season with Providence. In 35 games, he leads all Bruins players in goals with 14, assists with 21, and points with 35.

Lettieri has 14 goals and 35 points in 35 minor-league outings this season. The 29-year-old Lettieri could occupy a bottom-six role versus Tampa Bay on Tuesday if Mark Kastelic (undisclosed) remains unavailable.
