One year ago today, the Vancouver Canucks decided to push their chips into the middle to grab Elias Lindholm from the Calgary Flames. He would later go on to sign a seven-year deal of $7.75M AAV with the Boston Bruins in free-agency. Let’s take a look at where all the pieces of this puzzle are one year after the trade went down.

BOSTON — It may be cruel to note that Elias Lindholm is now without a five-on-five point in his last 13 games. The first-year Boston Bruin scored a short-handed goal and assisted on a power-play strike in the Bruins’ 6-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday. It was Lindholm’s fifth multi-point game with the Bruins.

The Bruins might benefit from a rising salary cap, but Boston knows full well of the dangers that come from building through free agency.

With the Bruins trailing by a goal early in the third period, they had an offensive zone faceoff in the Jets end despite being short-handed. Pavel Zacha won the draw cleanly to Elias Lindholm who snapped it by Hellebuyck to tie the game, 11 seconds into the third.

BOSTON -- Parker Ford scored in his NHL debut for the Winnipeg Jets, who pulled away with four straight goals in the third period for a 6-2 win against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Thursday. Ford, an undrafted rookie, grew up rooting for the Bruins as a kid from Wakefield, Rhode Island. He had several family members and friends in attendance.

The Boston Bruins blew a two-goal lead late in the third period and eventually lost 6-5 in a shootout Saturday afternoon at the Canadian Tire Centre.
