When your iPod Touch is stuck in recovery mode, you can use the iTunes application to restore it and update its software. The application uses your backup files to get your iPod out of recovery mode.
Alternatively, you can exit recovery mode on your iPod touch without the use of your computer or any third-party applications.
Eventually iTunes will throw up an alert that an iPod has been found in recovery mode. Click OK to dismiss the dialog box. 6. Hold down the Option key and click Restore in the iPod Summary tab.

I tried the kick out of recovery and still stuck in restore mode, it just says recovery device detected, and then it allows me kick out out of recovery mode and nothing happens.
