Pete Carroll knows how to create winners, and his arrival in Las Vegas signals a major shift for a Raiders franchise that hasn't won a playoff game in 22 years.

If wisdom truly does come with age, then the Las Vegas Raiders are going to have the smartest head coach in the NFL in 2025. After a job search that spanned 17 days, the Raiders have hired Pete Carroll, who is now set to become the oldest coach in NFL history.

Wilson and Carroll—of course—spent 10 seasons together with the Seattle Seahawks from 2012 to '21, winning four NFC West titles, two NFC championships and Super Bowl XLVIII. There was reportedly some tension between the two down the stretch, and the QB was eventually traded to the Denver Broncos in 2022.
