If you're trying to disconnect from cloud services on Windows, removing your Microsoft account is one solution. Here's how to do it.

Important: Before you delete the existing Microsoft account, you should back up all the data belonging to this old account – otherwise it will all be deleted!

To completely remove a Microsoft account from Windows 11, you need to scrub it from the Accounts section of the Settings app. In Settings, go to Accounts. Choose Email and accounts.
