One Slidell resident is really getting into the Christmas spirit by decorating her golf cart like a Minion. Her Minion golf cart will be featured in this year’s Christmas Golf Cart Parade.

Neighbors came dressed in their best holiday gear and decked out golf carts in holiday decorations to benefit the West Texas Food Bank.

And golf cart riders put their own spin on their decorations. There was a golf cart with a Spiderman theme, another had Santa on board and even Uncle Sam made an appearance.

The fifth annual Port Royal Christmas Golf Cart Parade will be at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, beginning at Helena Place Senior Living on Paris Avenue.

Walking around Surfside Beach you can feel the patriotic spirit as residents are ready for the annual 4th of July golf cart parade.
