Windows 11 24H2 revealed a 20-year-old bug in GTA: San Andreas. Thankfully, fixing it is as simple as adding four values in a game config file in Notepad.

No? Well, GTA San Andreas just did—thanks to a little Windows 11 update that exposed a two-decade-old bug buried deep in Rockstar’s legacy code (gotta love it!).

This fix was included in other San Andreas releases, including GTA: The Definitive Edition. "This was the most interesting bug I’ve encountered for a while," writes Silent.

The new Rockstar Games PC Launcher is available to download for Windows on Tuesday. Installing the launcher will also add a digital copy of GTA: San Andreas to the library for free.
