A gunpoint carjacking in South Philadelphia has landed a 24-year-old woman in federal prison for more than seven years, capping a case that prosecutors say shows how seriously the city’s carjacking task force is treating these crimes.

Armed carjacking: Two masked brothers allegedly threatened two women with a gun and knife before stealing their Jeep late Monday night. Pursuit and crash: Police spotted the stolen vehicle minutes later; the suspects crashed into a pickup truck while fleeing.
