U.S. stock-market futures declined as the Trump administration said a broad swath of tariffs against U.S. trade partners won’t take effect until Aug. 1, rather than July 9.

President Donald Trump said the U.S. will start sending letters to countries on Monday announcing higher tariff rates that will start on Aug.1 or trade deals, according to media reports. The 90-day pause on the tariff rates Trump announced on April 2 ends on Wednesday.
