Chaos, heart, and humor collide as Stitch returns in a brand-new live-action adventure! More than two decades after stealing hearts, the mischievous alien and Lilo are back to charm old fans and captivate new ones.

“It’s all based on Chris Sanders’ original artistic style [who directed the animated original with Dean DeBlois and returns to voice Stitch],” said Fleischer Camp, who comes from a drawing and painting background. “That movie, I think more than any Disney movie, is a representation of one artist’s lens on the universe.”

The Lilo & Stitch live-action remake has clearly struck a chord with the audience. The movie has been a massive blockbuster hit and, while many are praising the movie for having the same powerful emotional punch as the original, there have been some criticisms of the way the remake has changed the story.

Disney’s record-breaking, live-action remake “Lilo & Stitch” was filmed on the island of Oahu, and one of Hawaii ’s iconic resorts took center stage in the hit movie, playing a big role in key scenes. It’s where Lilo and Stitch lounge by the pool and where the aliens Jumba and Pleakley stay while formulating their plans to capture Stitch.

Lilo & Stich” topped the domestic box office charts for a third weekend. Studio estimates say that the film added $32.5 million from theaters in the U.S. and Canada.

Also commonly known as a side stitch, the medical term for this phenomenon is exercise-related transient abdominal pain. This name gives some good clues as to what it involves; a pain felt within the abdomen – often around the area just underneath the bottom of the ribcage – that’s brought on by physical activity, and eventually goes away.
