Stellantis confirmed Saturday it was reversing a decision to lay off 1,100 workers at its Jeep plant in the US state of Ohio, following the ouster of embattled chief executive Carlos Tavares.

BENGALURU: Stellantis has reversed its decision to layoff about 1,100 employees at an Ohio Jeep plant less than three weeks after the abrupt resignation of chief executive Carlos Tavares, the Franco-Italian automaker says.

Stellantis NV will no longer lay off more than 1,000 people at its Toledo Jeep Gladiator plant in January, the automaker said Friday.
