Christopher Nolan’s epic has lost its Imax dominance after Sony Pictures’ superhero feature starring Tom Holland and Zendaya opened big in theaters over the weekend.

Blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day will expand across the Imax network in North America beginning Thursday, August 6. That's when the The Odyssey's exclusive three-weekend domestic lock on the big screen exhibitor ends.

Just a week after its release, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will screen in IMAX after The Odyssey took the format by storm on July 17.
