The first weekend of the 12-team College Football Playoff should have been a celebration of more meaningful football in December. Instead, it was filled with teeth gnashing. Indiana and SMU lost playoff games to Notre Dame and Penn State in pretty decisive fashion.

The Oklahoma Sooners have made a ton of moves in the transfer portal. But, it seemed like, for some odd reason, they would never make a move on a tight end. Tight ends coach Joe John Finley has been catching some slack for it as well.

The Oklahoma Sooners added another weapon to the offense, earning a commitment from transfer portal tight end Carson Kent. Kent comes to the Sooners after spending three seasons with Kennesaw State. In 2024,

Oklahoma’s 2024-25 transfer portal class grew in the early hours of Monday morning. Kennesaw State tight end Carson Kent told Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports that he will commit to the Sooners. Kent has two years of eligibility remaining.
