The Las Vegas Raiders are hiring Pete Carroll to be the team’s head coach, according to reports. ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero first reported the news. CNN has reached out to the Raiders for comment.

The Las Vegas Raiders announced Saturday that Pete Carroll is their new coach. The Raiders hope that even as the oldest head coach in the NFL the 73-year-old Carroll will provide stability for an organization badly lacking it.

Pete Carroll will now call the shots for the Las Vegas Raiders after agreeing to a three-year deal. He is the latest in the revolving door of coaches for the Raiders over the past few years. He is the fifth since the team relocated to Las Vegas from Oakland in 2020 and the ninth since 2011.
