A woman died after she was set on fire while sleeping in a New York City subway car on Sunday morning, according to police. A person of interest in the case was taken into custody later in the day, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.

The woman was sleeping on a train car in Brooklyn on Sunday morning when a man approached her, lit her aflame and ran, police said.
