Lewis joins a wide receiver group that includes a returning Deion Burks and Jayden Gibson and a group of talented former four-star prospects Zion Kearney, Zion Ragins, and Ivan Carreon, walk-on standout Jacob Jordan, as well as true freshmen Elijah Thomas and Emmanuel Choice.

Oklahoma’s 2024-25 transfer portal class grew in the early hours of Monday morning. Kennesaw State tight end Carson Kent told Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports that he will commit to the Sooners. Kent has two years of eligibility remaining.

In high school, Lewis was rated as a 3-star prospect. The 247Sports Composite ranking had Lewis as the No. 72 WR and No. 11 prospect out of Illinois in the 2021 class. Lewis committed to UCLA over offers from Illinois, Auburn, and Arkansas, among others.

Keontez Lewis began his career at UCLA and was in the rotation at Wisconsin but eventually transferred to Southern Illinois.

Iowa has already added one player out of the transfer portal in former Auburn quarterback Hank Brown. With Brown joining the Hawkeyes‘ roster, Iowa and offensive coordinator Tim Lester would love to add some weapons for Brown and the rest of Iowa’s quarterbacks to work with.
