Police are searching the area for Steven Girtley and asking anyone with information to contact Post 12 at 502-227-2221.

According to Kentucky State Police, authorities are looking for Steven Girtley in connection to the shooting and death of 36-year-old Justin Girtley.

The Franklin County Coroner was notified, and Justin Girtley, 36 years of age from Franklin County, was pronounced deceased. Law Enforcement is still searching the area for Steven Girtley and is asking anyone with information to contact Post 12 at 502-227-2221.

Post 12 is investigating a murder that occurred Saturday in Frankfort.KSP says they responded to the area of Flat Creek Road in Franklin County just before 10 p.m. in reference to an altercation between Justin Girtley and Steven Girtley.

MONTICELLO, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) is investigating a suspected murder and house fire in Wayne County. Early Friday morning, around 1:00 a.m., KSP was contacted by Wayne County 911 after reports of a fire on Old Springs Road, where the residence owner, 64-year-old Mary J. Fulton, was believed to be inside.

Shelby B. Junior, 43, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, has been charged with murder. He was arrested and lodged at the Calloway County Jail.
