Cameco (NYSE:CCJ) said Thursday that controlling partner Kazatomprom has suspended production activity at the Inkai joint venture in Kazakhstan, citing the failure to receive an extension for submitting an updated Project for Uranium Deposit Development documentation from the government.

Cameco (TSX: CCO; NYSE: CCJ) was informed by our partner, National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC (Kazatomprom), and Joint Venture Inkai LLP (JV Inkai), that as of January 1, 2025, JV Inkai has suspended production activity.
