A group of “Free Karen Read” protesters who sued Canton Police after the demonstrators were warned they would be arrested for witness intimidation have had their lawsuit appeal tossed

A Canton police detective has returned from paid administrative leave after an investigation into his conduct sparked by testimony during the Karen Read murder trial.

U.S. District Court Judge Denise Casper denied the emergency injunction request on Nov. 10, ruling that, based on the limited information in front of her, the Canton police’s decision to order protesters to leave as a result of the state’s witness intimidation statute did not likely violate the First Amendment.
