The New York Jets agreed to terms with quarterback Justin Fields at the start of the NFL's 2025 NFL free agency period. That reported two-year deal is set to happen... but not from from New York.

Fields, who turned 26 on March 5, spent last year with the Steelers and went 4-2 as the team's starting quarterback.

What likely attracted the Jets to Fields was his play in 2024 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. While Fields was eventually pulled in favor of veteran Russell Wilson last season when the veteran was healthy. That didn't make sense to everyone since Fields had a 4-2 record during his spell as the starter.
