Professional boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who just days ago lost to Jake Paul in a pay-per-view bout in Anaheim, has been arrested in Studio City and will be deported to his native Mexico.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has been detained on a federal arrest warrant less than one week after his loss to Jake Paul. In a statement issued Thursday by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), it was announced ICE has detained the boxer and is processing him for expedited removal from the U.S.

Authorities say Chavez, a Mexican national, has an active arrest warrant in Mexico for his alleged role in organized crime and trafficking of firearms, ammunition, and explosives.
