Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the Genesis Invitational. He says he planned to play and tried to get ready but is still processing the death of his mother.

The Genesis has become a mainstay event on the PGA Tour calendar in the lead up to The Masters, but one of the biggest names in golf unfortunately won't be partaking in the tournament after dealing with a personal tragedy.

After originally committing to the field at Torrey Pines, Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the 2025 Genesis Invitational, the event he has hosted in California since 2020. The 15-time major champion posted on social media that he tried his best to prepare for the tournament but is still processing the passing of his mother.
