U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins recently provided an update on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s comprehensive, five-pronged strategy announced in February to combat highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI).

The restaurant chains hiked prices for menu items containing eggs earlier this year as shortages from to bird flu outbreaks pushed the cost of a dozen eggs to a record high in March.
