The Nuggets are hiring Jared Dudley as their top assistant coach on Adelman’s inaugural staff, a league source told The Denver Post. Dudley, who turns 40 this month, met with the Nuggets in Denver this week after they secured permission to interview him from the Dallas Mavericks, where he has coached since 2021.

The coaching carousel of the Dallas Mavericks continues to spin, and it has been spinning fast. Seemingly, no team has lost more assistant coaches this offseason than the Mavs, who were already up to five coaches departing.

With several moves around the margins that improve their roster, it's safe to say that the Denver Nuggets have been the best team in NBA free agency so far.
