GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Dozens of small businesses across West Michigan shut down on Monday, Feb. 3, as part of a national protest to raise awareness about the role immigrants play in the American economy.

Other businesses that have shared word of their one-day closings as part of the Day Without Immigrants protest include La Michoacana markets, El Barco Mexican Restaurants, Pecan Penny's, La Dulce Vida ice cream shops and High Bank Distillery.
