The Dallas City Council is on the cusp of ending its nearly year-long search of finding the city’s top administrative official. The council is expected to deliberate in executive session Wednesday before publicly voting on the candidate of their choice.

Three events are scheduled to give Dallasites the chance to meet the candidates vying to become the next city manager.

Interviews continued on Wednesday for Dallas' new city manager. Former president George W. Bush took the internet by storm during the 2025 Inauguration of President Donald Trump, where the 43rd president seemed to have a playful moment during the proceedings.

Dallas council members are expected to meet behind closed doors on Wednesday morning for a hiring discussion. After that deliberation, they’ll possibly hold a public vote.
